Competent in the procedure of chlorination’s to BS8558 and Experience with Pre Commission cleans to BSRIA specifications. –

  • Flushing and chemical cleaning
  • Working on closed and open systems
  • Temperature Monitoring
  • Tank Cleans and Chlorination
  • Taking water samples
  • Pre commissioning cleans
  • Working on all types buildings from small residential through to large industrial
  • Liaising with Office Management on a daily basis with regards to the jobs progression

 ASSISTANT WATER TREATMENT ENGINEERS  £ Attractive + outstanding package
  • Primary Water Group are market leaders in the field of water treatment operating in a wide range of sectors including Supermarkets, public and government, education, health care etc.
  • The position will entail assisting Engineers in day to day works on site for all areas of water treatment inclusive of chlorination of domestic services and treatment and flushing of enclosed systems.
  • No previous experience or definitive qualifications required however they must hold a CSCS Operatives health and safety card – test centres available in most towns / regions – and a good general knowledge of site Health and Safety.  Training will be provided both in house and external.  Driving licence preferred but not essential at first however this will need to be obtained within 6 months of starting the role.
  • Must be ambitious, hard-working, reliable, customer focused, friendly and well organised and working as part of a team is vital to this role.

 SENIOR COMMISSIONING ENGINEER   £ Attractive + outstanding package

Job Description

  • Assist in the selection of the Specialist Sub-contractor to carry out the commissioning from a technical point of view, making sure all elements of the project are covered.
  • Check all documentation for balancing and commissioning of all systems is available in the correct format and that all design figures are completed prior to the start of commissioning.
  • Witness all systems after the Specialist Sub-Contractor has completed his works.
  • Check all documentation has been completed correctly and ensure copies are available for collation in the O/M’s Prepare a written report after each site visit giving percentage progress on all aspects of commissioning.
  • Note any areas of concern on this report for action by the Projects Manager/Contract Engineer.
  • Collate all drawings and specifications from the Contract Engineer to allow the Commissioning Engineer to evaluate the amount of services to be balanced and commissioned.
  • Check all test points and dampers are in the correct position on site to allow the balancing of all air and water systems prior to pressure testing systems.
  • Check that the Site Supervisors have completed the Pre-Commissioning Checklist to ensure all transit restraints etc have been removed from Plant Items and that all systems are fully complete.
  • Check certification of all systems prior to any balancing of water systems.
  • Where load tests are to be carried out, to check that all information and equipment are available to carry out these tests.
  • Carry out environmental tests after the Controls Elements of a project are complete and operating in Auto-Control to allow results to be achieved and documented.
  • Ensure that installations are fully functional to agreed specification.
  • Contribute expert advice to the design tendering and installation process.
  • Provide regular reports to the project manager.
  • Set up and maintains detailed records for commissioning processes and obtain necessary system certification/sign offs.
  • Commissioning Programmes including progress monitoring, liaison with other stakeholders and interfaces.
  • Provide support and advice in the preparation of commissioning programme and progress reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Standards and Procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Significant management experience within the construction or relevant support services industries.
  • A strong understanding of technical issues and trends in the construction sectors, including specialist markets, with an ability to differentiate against market propositions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
